iPhone cameras have been designed, tested, and manufactured for Apple quality and performance standards. This includes intuitive and responsive auto-focus, Portrait mode with advanced bokeh and Depth Control, and Portrait Lighting effects.
For most customers, visiting a professional repair provider with certified technicians who use genuine Apple parts is the safest and most reliable way to get a repair. These providers include Apple and Apple Authorized Service Providers, and Independent Repair Providers, who have access to genuine Apple parts.* Repairs performed by untrained individuals using nongenuine parts might affect the safety of the device or might cause improper function or issues with image quality. Apple camera parts are designed to fit precisely within the device. Additionally, repairs that don't properly replace screws or cowlings might leave behind loose parts that could damage the battery, cause overheating, or result in injury.
The iPhone camera is engineered together with iOS software for optimal performance and quality. A nongenuine camera might cause compatibility or performance issues. For example, an issue might arise after an iOS software update that contains camera updates or new camera features.
With iPhone 12 models and later using iOS 15.2 and later, you can go to Settings > General > About to see the parts and service history of your iPhone and you can see if the camera has been replaced. If the repair was done using genuine Apple parts and processes, you will see \"Genuine Apple Part\" next to Camera.
At this point, we can't be certain if your iPhone 8 camera is not working because it is broken. However, sometimes your camera won't work because of a software issue. Software crashes or corrupted files could cause the camera on your iPhone 8 to stop working.
If you're trying to take pictures or videos using a third-party app, it could be the reason why your iPhone 8 camera is not working. Check the App Store to see if an update is available, which could fix a potential software issue.

Thanks for the help I manage to get the camera and flash light working again. But the next day the camera stoped working again in the middle of a Face time call. Is this something that will keep happening Might be time to upgrade my phone.
Lasers. The proximity sensor in iPhone 7 and later, the TrueDepth camera system, and the LiDAR Scanner contain one or more lasers. These laser systems may be disabled for safety reasons if the device is damaged or malfunctions. If you receive a notification on your iPhone that the laser system is disabled, you should contact Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for service. Improper repair, modification, or use of non-genuine Apple components in the laser systems may prevent the safety mechanisms from functioning properly, and could cause hazardous exposure and injury to eyes or skin.
Keep an eye on your front porch or the side of your house by turning your old iPhone into a security camera. You'll need some extra gear, like a mount or tripod, a wide-angle lens attachment and a spare charger, but you shouldn't have to spend a lot to get it up and running.
If you decide to repurpose your old phone, you will constantly have a backup phone in case yours breaks, gets lost or is stolen. With Apple Stores closed right now, taking a phone with a cracked screen in for repair isn't possible. You'll likely have to ship it somewhere for repair, meaning you'll be without a phone for a few days.
The lens correction feature of the iPhone adjusts the photo that is taken with an ultra-wide camera or front camera. It produces a natural-looking photo. This feature is turned on by default. For turning it off, perform the following actions:
Semitransparent parking sensor graphics for proximity sensors. When activating the rear camera, the car is displayed at the top right corner. The graphics now appear semitransparent by installing tweak.
My good friend Siutsch copied files from many different tweaks for his infotainment system and thought, it would be helpful if you could choose what tweaks you wanted to install or uninstall. He went on to develop a CMD based program to accomplish this and it worked well but lacked that modern app feel and faced other limitations. As a developer, I felt like I should upgrade AIO into a full fledged desktop app but with the same underlying tweaks that we all know from AIO v1.5.x. It was around that time I came across Electron and I went on to develop MZD-AIO-TI.
This Project has 2 particular aspects, user interface and the custom built installer script: tweaks.sh and associated files. @Siutsch and I continue to work together on that aspect to this project to optimize the tweaks.sh script for safety, efficiency, and in the future analysis.
I recently replaced my iPhone 5s battery. Everything worked well except for both cameras and flashlight. Camera app is not taking pictures and the screen is always black. The flashlight doesn't light at all, the button comes unchecked as soon as I push it. I reopened the case and checked all the connectors, did a complete reset, tried to use the old battery but nothing changed. I can't explain why this problem could happen on both cameras, nothing seems to be loose or broken. Maybe there is a problem on the logic board Thanks
There are a few things that can cause this issue. I would first try a hard reset...holding the power and home button for 10 seconds or so. If that doesnt work, try to Go to \"Settings\" > \"General\" > \"Reset\" > \"Reset All Settings\". This won't delete any files or apps on your iPhone but erase your preferred settings on the apps. After the resetting, open the camera app and see if it works okay now.
I would check the voltage on the PP2V85_CAM_AVDD rail. It drives both cameras and the RCAM also sends an enable signal to the Strobe circuit (RCAM_TO_LEDDRV_STROBE_EN). In theory, if 2V85 is bad, then both cameras stop working and the enable signal to the Flash is missing, hence no flashlight.
The problem is that both cameras will not work and stay black or just open the app itself. The flash is also ruined and cannot be turned on. Evertime i try to use the flash a message saying that it is in use by another app come up. I had this problem on my samsung galaxy s7 and now on my new samsung galaxy s20 FE. This is a very concerning problem to me and i would appreciate any help.
I had the same issue with my iphone 8. The camera and the Flashlight just would not work i tried every reset and nothing. when in reality all you ahve to do is delete a lot of photos and videos combined, i had over a thousand and i deleted around 500 photos and videos all together then powered off the phone turned it back on, opened snapchat and boom my camera finally worked.
I installed the iOS16 beta to test the new features and everything works well except the camera, which when I access it the screen is completely black. Initially I upgraded from iOS15, after restarting, turning off/on, I tried to restore the iPhone in different ways (from the Mac and from the iPhone) without solving the problem.
The camera does not work in any application, in the Camera, in iMessage, Halide, Instagram, WhatsApp,... The controls and buttons of the camera app do work, but it doesn't take the photo or see anything.
I got the same issue and after restarting the phone I got a warning message saying the camera is not genuine. It is a IPhone 12 pro that has never been repaired. Attempting to go back to IOS 15. Hope this solves the issue.
If your phone is displaying a \"Camera Failed\" message, freezing, lagging, or the preview is not working, the good news is that it's most likely a software issue and not a physical problem with the camera.
In a test call, you'll see how your mic, speaker, and camera are working. Follow the instructions from Test Call Bot and record a short message. The message will playback for you. After that, you'll get a summary of the test call, and you can go to your device settings to make changes.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max used to be the top choice for camera quality, but it's since been eclipsed after the release of the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The 14 Pro Max uses a higher resolution display, the A16 Bionic chip, and offers a 48MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP 3x telephoto camera.
To set your iPhone's camera timer, open the Camera app and select the small arrow at the top of the screen. Next, select the Timer icon (it looks like a stopwatch or speedometer) and set the time you want.
You have a few options for turning off the camera sound for your iPhone. Flip the switch on the left side of the iPhone to turn off the ringer and camera sound, or turn the iPhone volume down in Control Center.
To scan something with your iPhone's camera, open the Notes app > open an existing note or make a new one > select Camera icon > Scan Documents. Line up the document to scan > Save.
Open Settings > Camera > under Composition, turn on Mirror Front Camera. Be aware that this setting only affects the front-facing (or \"selfie\") camera, and the default iPhone camera app cannot mirror the rear-facing camera. For rear camera photos, invert the image in the Photos app.
An iPhone is a smart gadget that has enabled users to do several things such as taking pictures and using it as a flashlight. With it, you'll have no need to buy other standalone gadgets like cameras.
However, the problem comes in when you want to use this feature but cannot, because the camera and flashlight have gone faulty. Well, here's a quick tip for you: try Mobitrix Perfix, a professional iOS rep
